Raymond W. Keller, Sr, 89 yrs, of Summerfield Twp, died Monday, November 15, 2010, at his residence, while under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Thursday from 5-8 PM. Services will be at the funeral home, Friday, at 11 AM. Burial will be in Pleasant view Cemetery, Petersburg.

 

Born May 6, 1921 in Toledo, Raymond was the son of Stanley and Woanda (Michaels) Keller. He served with the US Army from November 1942 to December 1945, seeing action in Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland, and Central Europe, receiving the American Theater Ribbon, the EAME Theater Ribbon with five Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct Ribbon, and the WW II Victory Medal.

Raymond married Marolyn Bossler September 20, 1947, in Napolean, OH. He was employed by Toledo Scales as a Push Press Operator, retiring in 1975, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and farming.

 

Surviving are: his wife of sixty-three years, Marolyn; a son, Raymond (Bernadette) Keller, Jr; a daughter, Marlene (Gary) Finch; sister-in-law, Judith Grimes; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Caroline Crimmins.
