Martha Alice Johnson, 74 yrs, of Ida, died Thursday, June 10th in Fountain View of Monroe. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Sunday from 1:30 to 8:00 PM. She will lie in state in Petersburg Lower Light Church, Monday from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Pastor David Voss will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg.

Martha was born November 11, 1935, in Gypsy, PA, the daughter of William and Viola (Wassam) Shephard. She married Elmer Johnson August 24, 1957, in DuBois, PA. Martha provided child care for forty years. She was a member of Petersburg Lower Light Church.

Surviving are: her husband, Elmer, of Ida; son, David (Delona), of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters, Rebecca (Gary) Osborne, of Farmersville, OH, Deborah Johnson, of Piqua, OH; brothers, Earl Shephard, of PA, and Elmer (Lu) Shephard, of DuBois, PA; sisters, Marie (James) Hutchens, of DuBois, PA, Edith Neuhard, of Brookville, PA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Knisely, Annabelle Rhinehardt, and a stillborn great-great-grandchild.
