Mary Jo Gilbert, 62 years, of Dundee, passed away Saturday, March 13, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Tuesday from 11 AM to 9 PM. She will lie in state at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, Wednesday, from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Pastor Ted Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dundee.

Born on December 26, 1947, in Toledo, OH, Mary Jo was the daughter of Thayer and Edith (Schuller) Keslar. She married Sidney Gilbert on January 19, 1968, in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida. Jo worked for J.L. Barron Oil Co. for 25 years, retiring in 2006. She also worked for the Ida Kids Center for 15 years. She loved kids and kids loved her very much.

Jo is survived by her husband, Sidney; daughter, Marsi, of Dundee; a brother, Ken (Jan) Keslar, of Addison, MI, two sisters, Lois (Gary) Kacklay, of Ft. Payne, AL, Grace Keslar, of Dundee; and many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard and LeRoy Keslar.
