Denzil G. Gibson, 61 yrs, of Petersburg, died Sunday, April 11th while under the care of Great Lakes Hospice. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Thursday, from 6-9 PM. Services will be at the funeral home Friday at 11 AM. Pastor Ted Kerr, of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg.

Born February 8, 1949, in Topmost, KY, Denzil was the son of Sylvester and Florene (Lockhart) Gibson. A 1967 Summerfield High School Graduate, he married Shirley Hiesler. She died in 2000. An employee of Dundee Products for 42 yrs, he worked in shipping and receiving. He loved billiards, golf, playing cards, and being with his family and friends.

Survivors include: his mother, Florene Gibson; brothers, Benney (Joyce) Gibson, of Ft. Wayne, IN, Clayton Gibson, of Sweetwater, TN, Kevin (Debbie) Gibson, of Britton, MI, Chris Gibson, of Petersburg; and a sister, Kathie Gibson, of Petersburg. He was preceded in death by his wife and father.
