Wesley E. "Wes" Dailey, 72 yrs, of Monroe, died Saturday, April 24th at Mercy Memorial Hospital, while under the care of Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Monday from 7-9 PM, and Tuesday, from 11 AM until 9 PM. He will lie in state Wednesday, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Pastor Ted Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Petersburg.

 

Born November 2, 1937, in Borden, IN, he was the son of Norman and Mildred Capaul. Wes was a 1957 Ida High School Graduate, and married Darlene Bowman, September 12, 1959, in Summerfield Zion Lutheran Church. Employed by Ford Motor Company for 30 yrs, he was a supervisor and retired in 1993. Wes was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and loved traveling, bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing, and his grandchildrens' sporting events.

 

Survivors include: his wife, Darlene; son, Brett (Toni) Dailey, of Monroe; daughters, LeAnn Hedrick, and Michele (David) Rinne, both of Monroe; brothers, William Dailey and Ronald Dailey; sisters, Linda Dailey, Judy Elliott, of IN, Patricia Tincknell, of MI: Mary (Rev. James) Fox, of Laurens, SC, Norma "Boots" (Gary) Sweet, of Cedarville, MI; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Capaul (Grant) Smallidge, of Ida; grandchildren, Marc, Michael, Anthony, Breann, and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Mark; sisters Wygonda Miller, Betty Jane Dailey; and brothers, Cecil and John Dailey, and William Capaul.
