Deborah Christine Bailey, 58 yrs, of Petersburg, died April 1, 2010, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. According to her wishes, cremation has occurred. A private ceremony will be conducted for family and friends to celebrate Debbie's life. The Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, assisted the family in arrangements.

 

Deborah was born April 26, 1951, in Sparta, NJ, the daughter of Robert and Enid (MacLafferty) Osten. She married Robert Bailey, June 14, 1975, in Ann Arbor. Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Robert, and children, Mason Bailey and Mark Bailey. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Fran) Osten, of Massachusetts, and sister, Linda (Jim) Renderer, of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Debbie worked for several years as a dental assistant for Kuras Dental Health Associates in Monroe, before graduating from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy and becoming a certified and licensed massage therapist. Debbie operated her own massage therapy office in Monroe, Professional Village Massage Therapy, and later co-owned and operated Affordable Massage Therapeutic Massage, also in Monroe, for 12 years.

 

Debbie used many avenues to express her incredible artistic abilities including photography, photo-editing, scrap booking, and designing and creating custom greeting cards. Debbie was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and vacationing in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

 

Debbie's kind nature, her smile, her spirituality, and her love of life will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
