Julius J. Sepesy, 79 yrs, of Petersburg, died peacefully, October 20, 2009, at ProMedica Ebied Hospice, Sylvania, OH. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Thursday, from 1-9 PM, with a Scripture Service at 7 PM. He will lie in state at St. Anthony's Church, Friday from 11 AM until the Mass of Resurrection at 12 Noon. Fr. Brian Hurley will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Julius was born May 29, 1930, in Szakacsi, Hungary. He was the son of John and Mary Sepesy and came to the United States of America on December 24, 1934. He married his loving wife, Anna M. Michalak on January 22, 1955.
He was a telephone repairman for Michigan Bell and AT&T, retiring in 1988 after 33 yrs. Prior, he served as an Aviation Electricians Mate in the US Navy Reserve and was employed as a clerk at Charles A. Strelinger Co, Detroit, for seven years. He graduated from Cass Technical High School, Detroit, in 1948.
Julius enjoyed fishing, hunting, repairing and refinishing furniture, gardening, wine making and photography, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his dear wife, Anna; children Cathy, Maria (Arthur) Bronson, Timothy (Becki), Anthony (Leslie), and Michael; grandchildren, Nicholas, Arnold, Natalie (Scott) Linden, Derek, Alex, Sarah, Michael, Daniel, Rachel, Arthur Bronson IV, and Charly Bronson. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, John, and a sister, Helen Nemeth.
Memorial contributions for Mr. Sepesy may be made to St. Anthony's Church, Temperance, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
