Ruth M. Scott, 75 yrs, of Brooklyn, MI, formerly of Dundee, died Thursday at Allegiance Health Care in Jackson, MI. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Wednesday, from 2-8 PM. She will lie in state at St. John's Lutheran Church, Dundee, Thursday from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Pastor Annette Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in Rath Cemetery, Monroe.

Ruth was born August 28, 1933, in Monroe County, the daughter of Maynard and Mabel (Hoffman) Williams. She married James A. Scott, August 27, 1955, in Grape, MI. He died March 22, 1994. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church, she helped with the Shut-ins, and the Church Blood Drives. She also helped start the Monroe County Headstart Program in 1966.

Survivors include: a son, Tony, of Ida; three daughters, Ruth (Kent) McCormick, of Rochester Hts, MI, Jamie Scott, of Houston, TX, Robin Scott, of Brooklyn, MI; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a granddaughter.
