Nancy Ann Roney, 71 yrs, of Monroe, formerly of Deerfield, died Tuesday, October 13th in Mercy Memorial Hospital. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Friday from 12-9 PM. Services will be at 1PM Saturday, at the funeral home. Rev. Steve Pilarsh, of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Deerfield.

Nancy was born August 30, 1938, in Monroe, the daughter of Raymond and Irene (Benoit) Zacharias. A graduate of St. Mary's Academy, she married Richard Roney September 14, 1957, in Carlton. He died June 26, 1988. Mrs. Roney was a receptionist for Townsite TV. She was a former member of St. Michael's Church and attended Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, and was a volunteer for various charitable organizations over the years.

Survivors include: two sons, Richard, of Petersburg, James, of Brush, CO; a daughter, Karen Guyor, of Monroe; two brothers, Raymond Zacharias; and Michael Zacharias; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.

Memorial contributions for Mrs. Roney may be made to the American Lung Association.
