Dorothy J. Notario, 85 yrs, of Petersburg, formerly of Ida and Pt. St. Lucie, FL, died Monday, August 10th, at Tender Care of Monroe. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Wednesday from 1-9PM. Services will be private. Burial will be in Lulu Cemetery, Ida.

Dorothy was born May 25, 1924, in Dover, OH, to Ernest and Elva (Wenger) Meek. She Married Armand I. Notario January 23, 1947, at the Ida United Methodist Church. He died April 17, 2006. She worked for Allen Drugstore for ten years, retiring in 1986. She also worked in the Notario Restaurant in Ida.

Mrs. Notario was a member of the Lynn C. Weeman, American Legion Post 514, Ladies Auxiliary, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose, in Pt. St. Lucie, FL, and Monroe, and the Women's Bowling Association. Dorothy loved decorating for Christmas, crocheting, reading, and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sandy (Terry) Hixson, of Stuart, FL, Kathy Hicks, of Petersburg, and a daughter-in-law, Judy Notario, of Ida; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Michael, two brothers, a sister, and a son-in-law, Gary Hicks.
