Carolee Kay Morris, 62 yrs, of Summerfield Twp, MI, died Friday, January 2,  while under the care of Arbor Hospice. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Monday from 1-9 PM. She will lie in state at St. Alphonse Catholic Church, Deerfield, MI, Tuesday from 10 AM until Mass of the Resurection at 11 AM. Fr. Jack Loughran will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Carolee was born January 5, 1946, in Ashtabula, OH, to Versal and Georgia (Powers) Evans. She married Donald Morris June 25, 1966, in Chicago, IL. A hairdresser, she owned and operated Carolee Coiffeurs in River Rouge, MI, for 5 yrs, retiring in 2002. She had previously been employed by Prescott's Florist in Toledo, OH, and was a Substitute Mail Courier for Petersburg. She had attended the Ashtabula High School and the Virginia Farrely Beauty School in Lincoln Park, MI. Carolee was a member of St. Alphonse Catholic Church and loved flower designing, bingo, Black Jack, bowling, working in the yard, cake decorating, horses, yard and estate sales, and played pool for the Petersburg VFW Leagues.

Survivors include: her husband, Donald; two sons, Donald L. (Annette), of River Rouge, Aaron, at home; a daughter, Crystal Morris-Auram, at home; a brother, Tom (Carol) Evans, of Dorset, OH; a sister, Janice (Eugene) Headley, of Ashtabula, OH; a sister-in-law,Georgene Evans, of Jefferson, OH; four grandchildren, Michael, Gary, Daniel, Kayla; a great grandchild, Jordan; and her dog Chocolate AKA "Poopie". She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert and Teddy, and a nephew Adam Headley.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions to: St. Alphonse Catholic Church, Deerfield, MI.
