Dorothy P Leverton, 89 yrs, of Temperance, died Monday, August 17th. Friends may call at the  Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM. She will lie in state Thursday at Christ The King Lutheran Church, Lambertville from 10 AM till services at 11 AM. Pastor Tim Loewe will officiate. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, La Salle.

Dorothy was born August 14, 1920, in Erie Co, the daughter of John E. and Lena (Peterson) Leverton. A 1937 Ida High School graduate, she graduated from the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing in 1943. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing Education in 1958, from the University of Texas. She worked for Toledo Hospital, Baylor Hospital, of TX, Hernann Hospital and Methodist Hospital, in Houston TX, and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital also of Houston. She retired in 1984 after 41 years in nursing.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Wade, Earl (Mike), and William (Billie).
