Barbara Chase Hulbert, 53 yrs, of Petersburg, died Wednesday, September 30th  while under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM Tuesday, October 6, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Summerfield. Pastor Al Nelson will officiate.

Barbara was born June 11, 1956, in Detroit, the daughter of Dennis and Joanne (Woodward) Chase. She married Donald Hulbert October 6, 1984, in Muskegon, MI. Mrs. Hulbert earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University, and worked as a Medical Technician at Mercy Hospital, Muskegon, MI, from 79-84, Middletown Regional Hospital, Middletown, OH, from 84-85, Bethesda Hospital, Cincinnati, OH, from 85-93, St. Clairs Hospital, New York, NY, from 93-96, and Toledo Hospital, for six months, until she took a Medical Retirement in December of 2007. She also was a bus driver and substitute teachers aide for Ida Public Schools from 96-2007.

Surviving are: her husband, Donald; children, Tyler, Douglas, Henry, and Rachel, all at home; two sisters, Ann Whitman, of Moraga, CA, and Sandy (Ross) Virginia, of Norwich, VT. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Sarah.
