Arnold W. Hehl, 91 yrs, of LaSalle, died Friday, October 30th at Toledo Hospital. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Wednesday from 2-9 PM, with services at 7:30 PM. Pastor Bruce Lucas, of East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Born July 10, 1918, in Ida, he was the son of Walter C. and Enda A. (Reinhardt) Hehl. He was married to Goldie Gerber for 19 yrs, and then married Beatrice Zinner. Arnold was a farmer from a very young age, and then became a truck driver for Consolidated paper Co. of Monroe, for 40 yrs, retiring in 1977. He was a member of East Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Teamsters Local 299, Monroe, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. During his retirement, he mowed lawns at Roselawn Memorial Park, loved to repair things and could fix anything. Arnold loved to dance and enjoy life. He had many friends.
He is cherished by his daughter, Jacqueline (James) Nadeau, of LaSalle; son, Larry (Delores) Hehl, of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Jeanette (Erik) Kopmanis, Jodi Nadeau, Leigh Ann (Barney) Smith, Christine Templeton; great-grandchildren, Adam and Anna Kate Smith, Ben Templeton; and a brother-in-law, Clifford Gerber. He was preceded in death by his wives, a sister, Permilla Drodt, and a brother, Alton.
