Joann Theresa Etue, 73 yrs, of Temperance, died Friday, September 4th. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Sunday from 7-9 PM, and Monday from 12-9 PM. She will lie in state at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ida, Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 AM. Fr. John LaCasse will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ida.

Born July 9, 1936, in Erie, Michigan, she was the daughter of Alva and Anna (Mominee) Folk. A 1955 Ida High School Graduate, she married George C. Etue, June 25, 1955, in St. Joseph's Church, Ida. He died January 15, 2009. Joann was a Retail Clerk for Rink's Bargain City, Toledo, for 18 yrs. A housewife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was a member of St. Joseph's Church, and the Ida Athletic Club. She loved playing cards, Yahtzee, baking cookies, and watching her grandchildren play sports.

Surviving are: a son, Greg (Deborah) Etue, of Georgia; three daughters, Karen, (Joel) Miller, of Estero, FL, Nancy (Mike) Brancheau, of Temperance, Gail (Jeff) Kloster, of Ida; a brother, Ernest (Elaine) Folk, of Temperance; three sisters, Betty (Clayton) Holtz, of Temperance, Lara Belle Navarre, of Erie, Anna Mae (Richard) Winkelman, of LaSalle; six grandchildren, Steven, Paige, Jason, Dexter, Colton, and Carrie; and a great-grandson, Carson. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; three brothers, George, Noahie, and Alva; and two sisters, Grace Hyde and Lottie Howard.
