Billie Joyce Eipperle (Kaleva, formerly of Ida) died Friday morning, April 17, 2009, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, at age 75 as a result of complications from Septicemia.

 

Born November 1, 1933 at Harrogate, Tenn, she was the daughter of Mont and Edna (Carmack) Bolton. Raised in Monroe County, MI, she graduated from Ida High School in 1951. She had worked at Spicer Corp, Toledo, OH, and the Monroe Probate Court. Along with her husband, she was co-owner of Jerry's Shell Service (Ida) and Manistee Ford Tractor, and later worked for Eipperle Sales (Kaleva).

 

She married Gerald F. Eipperle October 10, 1953, in Monroe. After 1976 they made their home in Manistee County, MI.

 

She loved all her family and especially liked reading, music, puzzles, history, travel, and flowers.

 

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband September 6, 1992; a dear sister Jeanne Keister October 1, 2006; and a sister-in-law LouAnn (Annie) Gunder July 24, 2001.

 

She is survived by her four children: Marilyn Eipperle, Brian "Butch" (Connie) Eipperle, Valerie (Verle) Knapp, and Robert (Christine) Eipperle; ten grandchildren: David (Teresa) Eipperle, Christopher, Gary, Elizabeth, and Adam Eipperle, Andrew Knapp, Janelle (Ben) Motylinski, and Amy, Sarah, and Gerald Eipperle; four great-grandchildren: Maddison and Jonnathon Eipperle, and Meredith and Benjamin Motyinski; and four step great-grandchildren: Nickole, Ashley, Melissa, and Cayla. She is also survived by sister Beverly (Delbert) Maddux; brother-in-law Pete Keister;

brother-in-law Lauren (Ruth) Eipperle; sister-in-law Marlene (Don) Bauer; three aunts: Ada (Harry) Rost of Florida, Jolene (George) Morin of North Carolina, and Dorothy Carmack of Monroe; and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

A memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Ida on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends and family beginning at 10:00 until services at 11:00. A second service is planned on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at 3:00 P.M, at Terwilliger Funeral Home, Kaleva.

 

Private interment of cremains will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spina Bifida Association of Michigan, Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan, American Heart Association, or the Ida Fire Department.
