Peggy Ann Davis, 58 yrs, of Ida, devoted Mother, Wife,and Friend, died Sunday, August 23rd, in St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, OH. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Wednesday from 12 - 8 PM. She will lie in state at St. Joseph's Church, Ida, Thursday from 10 AM until the Mass of Resurrection at 11 AM. Fr. Robert Bauer, pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Carlton, will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Peggy was born March 22, 1951, in Toledo, to Wayne and Juanita Ann (Valentine) Wertenberger. She married Charles C. Davis February 21, 1984. They celebrated their 25th Anniversary this past February. Peggy worked at the Ida Tavern for 20 yrs, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed antiques, old movies, decorating her home, and her grandchildren.

Survivors include: her husband, Charles; her father, Wayne Wertenberger, Sr; two sons, Mike (Karissa) Duval, Justin Davis; four daughters, Laura (Arnold) Watts, Fawn (Don) Mayo, Jenny (Rob) Doubler, Jessica Davis; four brothers, Wayne Jr, Robert ( Yvonne), Jerry (Paula), Scott (Janice) Wertenberger; four sisters, Roxanne (Patrick) Wertenberger, Suzette (Joe) Jacobs, Juanita (Tim) Roscoe, Jacquelyn (Dwayne) Moore; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita, and a great-granddaughter, Bradlee Mayo.
