Roberta Joyce Darga, 69 yrs, of Petersburg, died Wednesday, May 20th at South Shore Medical Center Hospital, Trenton, MI. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, assisted the family with arrangements.

Born March 18, 1940, in Detroit, she was the daughter of William and Marie (Prodell) Swinyar. She married Daniel Darga in 1961, in Detroit. He died in 2001. Roberta worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Cunningham Drugs. She was a member of United Foods and Commercial Workers Union, Local 876, Detroit, the Dundee Senior Citizens, and was a volunteer for Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.

She is survived by: her life partner, Aldon Faunce, of Petersburg; a son, Daniel (Brenda) Darga Jr, of Taylor, MI; a daughter, Tami (Keith) Schoenjohn, of Ray, MI; a brother, William (Shirley) Swinyar, of Florida; a sister Shirley Burge, of Florida; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister.

Memorial Contributions for Mrs. Darga may be made to Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe, or the Dundee Senior Citizens.
