Josephine Ann "Joann" Bork, 77 yrs, of Monroe, formerly of Petersburg, died Sunday, March 22nd at Mercy Memorial Hospital, Monroe. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Thursday from 2-9 PM. She will lie in state Friday at St. Joseph's Church, Ida, from 10 AM until the Mass of Resurrection at 11 AM by Fr. Mike Woroniewicz. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg.

 

Born September 23, 1931, in Monroe, MI, she was the daughter of Wyman and Rose (Wrocklage) Perry. She married Paul Rauch in 1952. He died in 1955. She married Albert Bork May 5, 1962, in St. Peters Lutheran Church, Petersburg. He died October 21, 1997.

 

Joann was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 4187, Tecumseh. She was a former member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and served on the Altar Guilds of both churches.

 

Survivors include: two daughters, Roseann Bork, of Monroe, Rose Crookston, of Corpus Christy, TX; a brother, Robert Perry, of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Barbara Franz, of Canonsburg, PA, Connie Durand, of Point Place, OH; and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Paul and Albert, a son, John, and a brother, David.

 

Memorial contributions for Joann may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ida.
