Dorris Jane Bacon, 84 yrs, of Temperance, formerly of Ida and Clark Lake, died Tuesday, July 28th  at Windhaven Eldercare. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 AM until a Memorial Service at 10 AM, at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida. Rev. Bonnie Frey, of the Lulu United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial of Cremains will be in Lulu Cemetery.

Born February 28, 1925, in Detroit, Dorris was the daughter of Cy and Lilah Anderson. She married Wayne Bacon November 1, 1962 in Trenton, MI. He died December 14, 1999. Dorris was an Engineer for the Conrail Railroad for 45 yrs, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Lulu United Methodist Church, Past Matron of the Kindness Chapter of Eastern Star, Detroit, and loved to read and do crossword puzzles.

Survivors include: a son, Roger (Jeanette) Serens, of Leland, NC; two step daughters, Mary (Carl) McCollough, of Ida, Trudy (Josef) Capaul-Hart, of Merced, CA; eight grandchildren, Jeffery, Michelle, Brian, Bradley, Cory, Paige, Joel, and Justin, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions for Mrs. Bacon may be made to the Lulu United Methodist Church.
