Caroline Marie Gorr, 73 yrs, died Saturday, October 11, in Hiland Cottage, Petoskey, MI, while under the care of Hospice. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 AM, at the funeral home. Rev. Albert Nelson, pastor of Summerfield Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg.

Mrs. Gorr was born August 4, 1935, in Monroe County to George C. and Gertrude A. (Beverly) Kennon. She married James E. Gorr, October 1, 1953, in Petersburg. Caroline was employed by Centrum Management as a property manager from 1986 until retiring in 2005. A former member of Summerfield Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, she loved painting, reading, crafting, and "driving all over the country".

Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, James, of Petoskey; a son, Jason (Amy Lynn), of Temperance; three daughters, Diana Jean (James O.) Smith, of Ann Arbor, Terese Lynn (Robert) Reed, of Petoskey, Melissa Ann (Amer) Bathish, of Whitmore Lake; a sister, Beverly (Robert) Hunt, of Oscoda, MI, a step sister, Judy (Gene) Bishop, of Petersburg; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Constance Edwinna Gorr.
