Floyd G. Bruns, 92 yrs, of Marana, AZ, formerly of Deerfield, died at his residence December 11. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Thursday, December 18, from 2-8 PM. Services will be at the funeral home Friday at 11 AM. Pastor Albert Nelson of Summerfield Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg.

Floyd was born January 2, 1916, in Ida Twp, to Frank and Mary (Rothenbuhler) Bruns. He married Ola Ismay Schmidt August 14, 1936, in Columbia City, IN. She died October 28, 2008. They were married 72 yrs. A US Army veteran, Mr. Bruns was employed by Tecumseh Products, retiring in 1978 after 28 years. He was a member of Lord of Grace Church, Tucson, AZ and a former member of Summerfield Zion Lutheran Church, Petersburg, MI.

Surviving are: two sons, Donald (Donna), of Marana, AZ, Elmer (Carla), of San Jose, CA; a daughter, Betty (David) McCollum, of Petersburg, MI; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Paul, a grandaughter, Dawn Marie Bruns, and a brother, Ervin.

Memorial contributions for Mr. Bruns may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, or The Shriners.
